I enjoy playing mission games where you get to control the protagonist to save the world. I like the challenges one faces on their way, the amazing tricks the protagonist uses to save himself and the excitement of completing missions. This is one of the many reasons I enjoy Red ball iOS and Android app. In this review, I give more details about this game and why I enjoy playing it.
For: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android
Find it on: Google Play
Graphics / Sound: 5/5
The App Store and Google Play app for this game has basic cartoony graphics. However, these graphics are modern and well suited to the game. I like that all the sounds blend well with the music. You can tell a lot of time was taken to develop the sound because it is of high quality.
Interface and Controls: 5/5
This game has a very intuitive interface. It is easy to use, consistent and perfect in performance. Apart from this, it has excellent and straightforward controls. There are controls for bouncing, rolling and evading danger by changing direction. I like that the controls are not cluttered on the screen but conveniently organized.
However, the game is a bit complicated in some sense when it comes to movement. In most cases, you will be able to defeat your enemies using a simple head-bounce, but it gets really tricky when some of the enemies have to be struck in a specific direction. It takes a level of skill to get the hang of this. Consequently, you should expect to die a number of times when you first attempt this Google Android and iOS app.
This free to get app has impressive gameplay. Basically, your role as the ball is to save the world which has been attacked by minions who want to squeeze it into a square shape. You will have to defeat enemies and overcome different obstacles to emerge victorious. You have been provided with everything you need. If you use it to your advantage, you will succeed.
Red Ball 4 is not big on in-app purchases. In fact, there is only one that goes for £1.44/$1.99 that enables you to unlock all the levels if you wish to access them faster. However, there is a chance more will be added when the app is updated.
Red Ball 4 is a game I go back often. The gameplay is one of the reasons I replay the game a lot. I like that it is unique and challenging. I am always aiming at getting to the highest level of the game.
